Day 1: Ouarzazate

At least once in a lifetime, you must experience horseback riding in the desert. We offer you an itinerary from the picturesque Arab town of Ouarzazate to the vastness of the Sahara Desert. Riding the tireless Arabian horses, we will head into the desert, through ochre valleys dotted with Kasbahs and oases that mark the beginning of the desert. One of the most exciting experiences to have in Morocco is to take part in a horseback tour in the Sahara Desert. The spectacular and dramatic desert landscape can be discovered on horseback. We will stop at Erg Chebbi, the longest and highest stretch of dunes in Morocco, near Merzouga, where we will temporarily leave the horses to reach a Berber tented camp on camelback. The sensations of traveling slowly on the fine sand under an infinite sky that at night shines with the light of millions of stars are indescribable. We will cross fertile and lush oases, camping each night in a different place, listening to the mysterious voice of the Sahara, which echoes tribal melodies at night. The Sahara Desert offers wonderful light shows at sunset and sunrise when the ocean of sand glows with warm and intense colors. Many writers have drawn inspiration from the magic of the desert, such as Antoine de Saint-Exupery, author of the famous "The Little Prince," who describes it with a few words: "I have always loved the desert. You sit on a sand dune. You see nothing. You hear nothing. And yet something shines in the silence."

ITALY/OUARZAZATE (-/-/D) Arrival at Ouarzazate airport and transfer on your own to Hotel Les Jardins. Meeting with the guide and the other group members for dinner. Overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 2: Ouarzazate

OUARZAZATE / SAHARA DESERT (B/L/D) Breakfast, meeting with our correspondent at the hotel reception, and departure by car towards Tinghrir, through ochre valleys dotted with Kasbahs and oases that mark the beginning of the desert. Lunch and departure for the horseback trek towards Erfoud. Dinner and overnight stay in a tented camp among the desert dunes.

Day 3: Ouarzazate

SAHARA DESERT / ERG CHEBBI (B/L/D) We will ride through the desolate desert landscapes, rocky terrains alternating with reddish dunes like those at Erg Chebbi. Here we will leave the horses to continue with camels, better suited to climbing the high dunes. Option to stay and have dinner in a guest house in Erg Chebbi for those who do not wish to continue by camel; for the others, dinner and overnight stay in a nomad camp hidden among the dunes.

Day 4: Ouarzazate

ERG CHEBBI / SAHARA DESERT (B/L/D) We recommend getting up at dawn to admire the sunrise among the dunes; a hearty breakfast and departure by camel to retrieve the horses. Riding towards Algeria, admiring the suggestive succession of dunes before reaching the plain and a lake, often dry except after very rainy winters. Dinner and overnight stay in a mobile camp.

Day 5: Rissani

SAHARA DESERT / RISSANI (B/L/D) Breakfast and departure to reach the town of Rissani and its oasis. We will arrive at the hotel in time for lunch, and in the afternoon, by car, you can go to the desert town of Rissani and visit the mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif, the first king of the dynasty, and the bustling souks. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in the oasis.

Day 6: Rissani

RISSANI / SAHARA DESERT (B/L/D) You will ride out of the oasis through endless plains interspersed with dunes. In the afternoon, you will reach the area of underground canals hidden between the mountains, where we will camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Ouarzazate

SAHARA DESERT / OUARZAZATE (B/L/D) More dunes and infinite spaces, until you see on the horizon an impressive monument built by a German artist entirely from natural materials. Upon meeting the motorized vehicles, we will leave the horses and return by car to Ouarzazate, where you will have the last overnight stay.
