Day 1: Jinja

For those who dream of a trip to Uganda, you should know that we offer the only horseback tour in this wild destination... Together with our local partners, we have organized this adventure for you. Riding along the banks of the Nile, the longest river in the world, you will discover the magnificent waterfall that gives life to the White Nile, from the two tributaries, the Albert Nile and the Victoria Nile. We have brought beautiful thoroughbred horses from Kenya, otherwise nonexistent in this part of Africa, and they have amazingly adapted to their new environment. Perfectly trained, they will accompany you to discover the wonderful jungle; starting from Lake Victoria, the largest lake on the African continent, which has over 3000 islands, many of which are densely populated, like Migingo, and then reaching the Mabira Forest. This forest is certainly one of Uganda's most important natural reserves, with its 300 sq km extension, over 200 tree species, 200 butterfly species, and 300 bird species. With a bit of luck, you might spot some of the rare primates, like gorillas, one of the greatest privileges of your life. There are fewer than 900 individuals, and observing the daily interactions of these delicate and mysterious primates is a rare opportunity. Mountain gorillas live only in the dense vegetation of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. At the end of your challenging days in the saddle, you will enjoy some relaxation in the wonderful lodges where you will stay, with good food and comfort awaiting you.
