Day 1: Trondheim

Come and discover Norway on horseback. A country that will exceed your expectations: breathtaking landscapes, an authentic lifestyle, friendly people, and a strong sense of adventure! The Norwegian landscape is very diverse, with high mountains, deep valleys, tranquil forests, and a view of the stunning coastline characterized by thousands of small islands, islets, and jagged fjords. Riding through these unspoiled natural areas, you will be captivated by these wonderful and unique lands. We will cover approximately 150 km of trails, discovering different regions on routes adaptable to riders of various levels. During our trek, we will stay in rustic, yet cozy and warm accommodations. The opportunity to experience the famous Norwegian sauna will not be missed. New friendships and a healthy camaraderie will accompany you throughout this adventurous trek in full immersion with nature.

We will touch the following highlights:
• The charming and picturesque village of Stugudal
• The Sylan mountains, a mountain range between Sweden and Norway
• Essand lake
• Sylstation, beyond the border with Sweden
• Trondheim, a sacred city and pilgrimage destination

ITALY/TRONDHEIM/STUGUDAL (-/-/D)
Book a flight to Trondheim-Vaernes Airport (TRD) in time for the 1:00 PM pick-up and transfer. Transfer to the picturesque village of Stugudal, about 120 km away. During the transfer, you will have the opportunity to admire the Norwegian landscape, and upon arrival, there will be a brief meeting with the guides to explain the week's program. We will meet our horses for a short ride before enjoying a delicious dinner with local products. Overnight at the hotel.


Day 2: Trondheim

STUGUDAL/NEDALEL (B/L/D)
A hearty breakfast and departure on horseback to explore dense forests and wild mountains. Upon reaching a river, we will set up a campfire to prepare lunch and take a rest. In the afternoon, we will reach a charming cottage in Nedalel where we will prepare dinner. Overnight at the cottage.


Day 3: Trondheim

NEDALEL/ESSAND LAKE (B/L/D)
Another day in the saddle exploring unspoiled nature and magnificent views of the Sylane Mountains. Picnic lunch, and in the afternoon, we will reach a chalet on the shores of Essand Lake where we will stop for dinner and overnight stay.


Day 4: Trondheim

ESSAND LAKE/SYLSTATION (Sweden) (B/L/D)
Today, we will cross the border into Sweden, following the paths once used by the Scandinavians. We will head to Sylstation, where we will stop for dinner and overnight stay.


Day 5: Trondheim

SYLSTATION/HELAGS MOUNTAINS (Sweden) (B/L/D)
After breakfast, we will mount our horses and venture further into Swedish territory, reaching the foothills of the Helags Mountains. Dinner and overnight stay in a cottage immersed in the mountain nature.


Day 6: Trondheim

HELAGS MOUNTAINS / TRONDHEIM (B/L/D)
Today we will return to Norway, following the ancient pilgrim tracks of the 12th century to the sacred city of Trondheim and the Nidaros Cathedral. Dinner and overnight at the cottage.


Day 7:

TRONDHEIM/STUGUDAL (B/L/D)
Another day horseback riding in nature, but heading back toward civilization. In the late afternoon, we will arrive in Stugudal for the last dinner and overnight at the hotel.

EQUIPMENT: SWEDISH ARMY MONTURA with saddlebags for the day's essentials.
HORSES: ICELANDIC, this strong little horse is the original "Viking", its existence known since the 19th century and its cooperation has allowed humans to settle in this territory. This breed has unique characteristics such as its small stature, long and thick mane, and its particular fast gait, the amble. Although it has a wild spirit, given that it still lives in the wild today, it can establish a unique friendship and complicity with its rider.
PACE: 5 to 6 H IN THE SADDLE. Moderate paces with long trots (amble). We will cover approximately 150 km in total.
WHAT TO BRING: sleeping bag, sheets, layered clothing including waterproof, towel, camping mug, sunscreen, sunglasses. Power bank and batteries. Helmets are available on site but we always suggest bringing your own. Remember to bring a backpack for the day's essentials and try to minimize luggage as much as possible!

2 nights (the first and last) in comfortable hotels with private services. The other overnight stays will be in rustic cabins, with mattresses and pillows. Shared services and showers. In true Norwegian spirit, adaptability, flexibility, and a willingness to participate in daily chores are required.
