Day 1: Phoenix

For those who want to experience riding like a true cowboy in the heart of Arizona… we have selected an authentic working ranch for you. We are in the heart of the Tonto National Forest, covering an area of about 3 million acres, making it the fifth-largest forest in the country. The altitude ranges from 396 to 2,408 meters, resulting in very diverse flora and fauna. Indeed, while part of the forest has a desert full of cacti, another part takes you through rugged mountains dotted with pines. The property of this working ranch extends over 55,000 acres and is located near the famous “Pleasant Valley,” a place of historical interest, as it was here, at the end of the 1800s, that the famous “Pleasant Valley War” took place, involving two families, the Grahams and the Tewksburys, vying for territorial dominance. This area, which has also been the setting for various books and films, offers the opportunity to live an experience that suits the different equestrian levels of participants. And for those who wish to diversify, there are many other activities available on-site, such as archery and sport fishing. The ranch is a celebration of “rustic” elegance: guests can savor an authentic atmosphere with its fireplace, leather sofas, and view of the adjacent Sharon Lake.

ITALY/PHOENIX (-/-/D)
On request and for an additional fee, pick-up from Phoenix Airport (PHX) and transfer to the ranch (USD 500 per person, to be paid on-site). We recommend renting a car (ask for a quote). Accommodation in a bungalow, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 2: Phoenix

B/L/D)
The ranch offers 6-night packages suitable for every participant: in addition to horseback riding, there are various activities that guests can enjoy: ATV tours, archery, sport fishing, hunting, and much more. You will be able to enjoy the lush nature of the Tonto National Forest and the typical Arizona landscape with your entire family. Even children will love feeding the horses and goats and collecting fresh eggs.
Activities involving cattle (cattle drives, round-ups, and sorting) are not always available depending on the time of year you visit the ranch. Please inquire for more information about these activities.

Horseback Riding Activities:
Wear jeans and boots and ride with our authentic cowboys; we have endless miles of pasture to cover (intermediate level)* and plenty to learn: cattle gathering and moving (for experienced riders), roping, team penning (extra charge), horse care, and western riding techniques. Depending on your riding level, guests can take introductory lessons at the riding school or decide to take lessons to deepen their horse management skills.
You may witness branding, castration, vaccination procedures… essentially everything related to managing a working ranch.

*Horseback rides range from 2-3 hours to overnight trips with camping, with meals cooked over the fire in true western style!

Fishing:
For sport fishing enthusiasts, Lake Sharon is perfect.

ATV Tours:
Fun excursions to explore the surrounding hills: beautiful landscapes with views of interesting rock formations. Wildlife and plant observation.

Hiking:
Explore the area around the ranch by climbing the numerous surrounding rock formations.

Archery/Hunting (extra charge):
