Day 1: Mazagon

Immerse yourself in the purest Spanish equestrian culture and the unique beauty of southern Spain by riding through the sandy streets of El Rocio, "the city of the horse," a symbol of the region, and discovering the marshes of the Doñana Natural Park, whose biodiversity is unique in Europe. It contains a wide variety of ecosystems and animal species including thousands of birds, fallow deer, European deer, wild boars, badgers, and mongooses. You will depart from Mazagón, where you will witness one of the most special sunsets in the country and gallop on the longest beach in Spain within the Natural Park: 28 kilometers of almost untouched sands and spectacular viewpoints formed by moving dunes. But let's go back to El Rocio, a true living western film set. If you have always believed that western films were shot in Arizona, you have always been wrong: films like "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" and "A Fistful of Dollars" were filmed here, and today it attracts many tourists for this true Wild West atmosphere! The impact when arriving in El Rocio is remarkable and surprising, surreal: a sleepy town, whose only paved road at some point curves and surrounds the city like a sort of ring road. The street entering the town is covered with sand and people move indifferently with cars, carts, and horses, even going to the bar with them, which are equipped with high counters to drink a glass without getting off the horse!! A trip to enjoy nature, culture, and gastronomy.

ITALY/SEVILLE/MAZAGON (-/-/D)
Arrival at Seville Airport (SVQ), pick-up at 6:00 PM and transfer to the town of Mazagon. Check-in and meet with the guides for dinner and overnight stay at the Martin Alonso Pinzon Hotel (or similar).

Day 2: Mazagon

MAZAGON (B/L/D)
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the Arte Andaluz stables and assignment of horses. You will be welcomed with a high school performance by our host and professional rider Alejandro, who will ride one of his best horses: Caramelo, "the golden horse," a Luso-Arabian, or Sueño, "the magnificent horse," a pure Spanish black thoroughbred. We will enjoy a lovely picnic surrounded by horses at the facility. In the afternoon, our guides will introduce you to the Spanish "vaquera" style of riding, saddles, and reins, allowing a first connection with the horses. We will start riding along the beach in the late afternoon to enjoy one of Spain's most special sunsets. Return to Mazagon for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Villamanrique De La Condesa

MAZAGON /VILLAMANRIQUE (B/L/D)
After breakfast, transfer to the Arte Andaluz stables. Today, we will return to paradise, the beach of the Doñana Natural Park, the longest beach in the country at 28 km, making it seem like an endless beach.
It is only 5 minutes from the stables, but it will take a little longer because, before reaching the beach, our guides will show the group some special scenic viewpoints. One of the most important is the Clico de Asperillo, a system of mobile dunes that extends over twelve hectares of coastline. After touring the various cliffs, it's time to ride on the beach, the Castilla beach, where riders can enjoy some gallops along the beach and where the watchtower known as 'Torre del Loro' or 'Torre del Río Oro,' dating back to the 18th century, stands, protecting the area from Berber pirate attacks. Lunch at a local fisherman’s restaurant.
After lunch, transfer with luggage to Villamanrique de la Condesa, one of the oldest towns in Huelva. Dinner and overnight stay at Ardea Purpura Hotel (or similar).

Day 4: Villamanrique De La Condesa

VILLAMANRIQUE (B/L/D)
After breakfast, we will meet our horses, which will have been brought in by van. We will do a circular trek around the Quema River, a very important symbol of the Rocio folklore; this is where pilgrims heading to Rocio are baptized before continuing to ensure they arrive to see the Virgin in a pure state. During the pilgrimage season, the river is full of horse-drawn carriages, women dressed in flamenco dresses, and crowds on horseback. On the other side of the river stands the first monument of the Virgin. People often associate the pilgrimage with a silent journey, but the Rocio pilgrimage is a celebration from beginning to end, rich in Spanish culture, horses, and music. We will have lunch at Los Pinares del Alcázar, a restaurant in the middle of the forest. After lunch, we will return to the stables following a different route. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5: El Rocio

VILLAMANRIQUE/EL ROCIO (B/L/D)
After breakfast, we will ride towards El Rocío, "the city of horses." We will follow the route of the religious brotherhoods that, on horseback, on foot, and with horse-drawn carts, head towards El Rocío, known as La Raya Real. This is one of the most special and significant places in the country, especially in the south. El Rocío is a rider's paradise; its streets are made of sand, and cars do not have priority over horses. All the houses, bars, and restaurants have places to tie and water the horses. Here, you can feel the flamenco art and the deep bond people in Spain have with horses, seeing individuals of all ages riding around the town, some working with their horses, others simply enjoying the walk. After lunch at a local restaurant, riders will have the afternoon free to visit the church, admire the mares and foals that live freely in the Marismas in front of the village (their breed is Marismeña, not Spanish; it's a local breed of the Doñana Natural Park area). They can also do some shopping, as the village has some stores full of typical horse and rider equipment from Spain. Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight stay at El Palacete Real Hotel (or similar).

Day 6: El Rocio

EL ROCIO (B/L/D)
After breakfast, we will meet the horses in the village and spend the morning riding next to the Doñana Natural Park, spotting deer, cows, hares... enjoying the views and nature, with some gallops. We will have lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, it’s time to dress up and ride through the village like true Andalusian riders, visiting different parts of the village, having some drinks, meeting other riders, and simply enjoying the famous Spanish outdoor life, but on horseback! A typical afternoon in El Rocío on horseback. Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 7: Mazagon

EL ROCIO/ MAZAGON (B/L/D)
After breakfast, we will head back to the town of Mazagon to the Arte Andaluza stables for the last few hours of riding in the tranquility of nature. Lunch along the way. Dinner at a typical restaurant and overnight stay at Martin Alonso Pinzon Hotel (or similar).
