Day 1: Saskatoon

Leave for an authentic escape to a working ranch...a week immersed in the Canadian nature living the life of a cowboy. Long horseback rides through nature, meals cooked over the fire, bonfires under the stars, new friendships, and hospitality you will remember for a lifetime.
Amidst the rolling hills and beautiful landscape of the Saskatchewan River Valley, this picturesque working ranch is located right on the shores of Lake Diefenbaker; everything will make you feel like you've stepped back in time, with an atmosphere that will make you feel like you're in an old western movie. This land is a continuous alternation of prairies, canyons, hills, and the sandy beach of the lake. With nearly 14 km of lakefront, this authentic working ranch is the perfect place to immerse yourself in serenity, living an authentic experience far from the hustle and bustle of the city. Delicious cowboy-style meals await you, plenty of fresh air, and a new family because that's how you’ll feel after a while... The nature surrounding the ranch changes with the seasons: from the charming crocus flowers in the spring to the pink flowering cacti in the summer to the golden splendor of autumn. So, we invite you to embark on an unforgettable experience in central Canada, a vast area still full of unexplored landscapes compared to the coastal areas. The Saskatchewan province is perfect for equestrian tourism, but also for fishing, kayaking, and hiking enthusiasts. What will stay in your heart are the spectacular sunsets that set the horizon on fire every evening and the peace you feel while riding a horse, wandering without any apparent goal, a sensation that only a cowboy can explain.

ITALY/SASKATOON (-/-/D)
Arrive between 12:00 and 19:00 at Saskatoon International Airport (YXE) on Monday, Thursday, or Saturday. Transfer to the ranch, dinner, and overnight stay in a double bungalow.

Day 2: Saskatoon

SASKATOON (B/L/D)
We will spend long days in the saddle. After a hearty “western-style” breakfast, we will ride exploring the property, checking on the livestock, and spotting deer, owls, foxes, coyotes, and with a bit of luck, the golden eagle.
For beginners, it will be possible to take a basic western riding lesson before heading out for a ride.
Depending on the mood and equestrian abilities, participants may help with daily chores, while also enjoying some relaxation around the fire or at the lake.
In summer, when the nights are milder, we can load the horses for a night of camping under the stars.
When not riding, there are plenty of activities to enjoy: swimming in Lake Diefenbaker or relaxing on its sandy shores, rowing boats, canoes, water skiing, and fishing.
Around the area, you can watch rodeos (to be booked at the ranch), admire the Cypress Hills, Fort Walsh, and Great Sand Hills, a band of semi-desert dunes that appear suddenly in a valley (guided tours can be booked on-site).
The key activities at the ranch are as follows:
SEASON OPENING (from May 23 to June 6), assisting with the calving, checking the fences, and branding the cattle, and learning how to rope.
SEASON CLOSURE (from September 28 to October 5), at the end of the season, the cattle are gathered, and the summer pastures are brought back to the ranch for the winter.

Guests can enjoy the saloon for after-dinner activities, with billiards, darts, and country music. Nearby is the White Bear Saloon.
For those who want to immerse themselves in nature, the ranch does not have Wi-Fi, and phone coverage is often poor. There is neither television nor phone in the rooms.
Homemade meals are served from dinner on Day 1 to breakfast on Day 8. The atmosphere is family-oriented, and meals are shared together, exchanging stories of the day.
