Day 1: Boavista Island

ITALY / BOA VISTA (-/-/-)
The island of Boa Vista is part of the Cape Verde archipelago. It is the third largest of the 10 islands and the closest to the African continent, with the most tropical climate. It is one of the last earthly paradises, still far from mass tourism.
Here, two giants meet: the desert and the ocean, where white sand dunes melt into the emerald green of the ocean waters, creating the unique and mysterious landscape of Boa Vista.
The island also boasts the largest beaches of the archipelago, such as Praia do Curralinho and Praia de Varandinha, which you will explore on horseback, experiencing a unique sense of freedom, surrounded by the warm hues of the rising or setting sun over the delicate dunes of the Viana Desert.
A unique place with its own soul and rhythm, where time is dictated by nature. Everything moves slowly; adjusting to the pace is essential. Hurry becomes a distant memory, and you rediscover your own time and space. An unspoiled, partly wild oasis where nature reigns supreme.

Upon arrival at Boa Vista International Airport (BVC), proceed through customs (we recommend purchasing your visa online before departure). Transfer (approx. 10 minutes) to White Hotel, located in the center of Sal Rei, in the northwest of the island.
Dinner at your leisure. Overnight stay in a standard double room with bed and breakfast.

Day 2:

BOA VISTA (B/-/-)
Free day for relaxation. We recommend visiting our Bahia Beach Club, just 200 meters away, if you prefer a serviced beach area.
Today, a 1.5-hour horseback ride is planned to Praia de Chaves, where you'll find the ruins of the old brick factory of the Ben Oliel family—Sephardic Jews who fled Morocco (ride available in the morning or afternoon – exact pick-up time to be arranged upon arrival).
Meals at your leisure. Overnight stay.

Day 3:

BOA VISTA (B/-/-)
Free day for relaxation. Meals at your leisure. Overnight stay.

Day 4:

BOA VISTA (B/-/D)
Morning at leisure. In the afternoon, pick-up from the hotel around 3:00 PM for a sunset ride in the Viana Desert, located approximately 30 minutes away in the island's interior.
We will pass through Rabil, the island’s former capital with cobbled streets, and stop at Olaria, a traditional pottery workshop. Then through the sleepy village of Estância de Baixo before reaching the entrance of the Viana Desert, known for its white dunes of Saharan sand.
Enjoy a 2-hour ride through the dunes at sunset.
After the ride, experience stargazing with powerful telescopes, guided by experts. A typical buffet dinner will be served in a desert restaurant, followed by a night walk.
Return to the hotel around 11:00 PM.

Day 5:

BOA VISTA (B/-/-)
Free day for relaxation. Meals at your leisure. Overnight stay.

Day 6:

BOA VISTA (B/-/-)
Today’s highlight is a 2-hour ride along the beach of Curral Velho, located in the southeast of the island, about 30 minutes from Sal Rei. This was once a settlement for the salt trade, known for its salt appreciated by Queen Victoria.
Ride among palms, wide sandy beaches, and view the Ilhéu de Curral Velho, a nature reserve for seabirds like boobies and storm petrels.
Depending on your chosen schedule (early morning around 8:00 AM or afternoon around 4:00 PM), you may also pass by Varandinha Beach, known for its sea caves and history as a pirate hideout.
You might spot the white-tailed tropicbird, which nests in this area.
The ride ends through the Morro de Areia Natural Park, heading back to Sal Rei and the hotel.

Day 7:

BOA VISTA (B/-/-)
Free day for relaxation. Meals at your leisure. Overnight stay.

Day 8:

BOA VISTA / ITALY (B/-/-)
Transfer to the international airport in time for your return flight to Italy.
