Day 1: Beysehir

ITALY / KONYA / BEYSEHIR (-/-/D)
Choosing to discover Turkey on horseback opens up a world of possibilities that go beyond the undeniable beauty of Cappadocia. Here we offer you a unique horseback trekking adventure from Lake Beysehir, a gem of the Turkish Lake District and a paradise for birdwatchers, all the way to the Mediterranean coast.
We will ride from north to south through the Taurus Mountains, a range that stretches from the Anatolian plateau to the Mediterranean Sea. The route promises breathtaking scenery and constant variety: conifer forests, shrublands, rocky valleys, green pastures, and golden beaches. Not to be missed is the magnificent Köprülü Canyon, which gives its name to the national park—up to 400 meters deep and 14 kilometers long—as well as Selge, a historic site with dramatic rock formations and Roman ruins nestled in the mountains.
Despite the mountainous terrain, there will be unforgettable gallops, along with more technical sections where you'll need to lead your horse by hand. This is a horseback journey for intermediate to advanced riders looking to enjoy stunning landscapes while keeping a good pace in the saddle.

Arrival at Konya airport (KYA) at 19:00. Pick-up and transfer to your hotel on the shores of Lake Beysehir, at the entrance to the National Park. Dinner with your guide and overnight stay.

Day 2:

BEYSEHIR / NATIONAL PARK (B/L/D)
After breakfast, horses will be assigned and we’ll head off for a “fast” morning: long gallops along the sandy lakeshore. After a lunch stop, we’ll reach the river delta in the afternoon—a marshy terrain rich in birdlife. We’ll then pass through a typical local village and continue until the trail forces us into an oak forest where our camp will be set up for the night.

Day 3:

NATIONAL PARK (B/L/D)
Today we’ll follow an old transhumance trail that leads us to the pastures at the foot of the Taurus Mountains. We'll pass through a rocky area for about 30 minutes where we’ll need to go slower, then reach a dry riverbed—perfect for galloping. Picnic lunch along the way. In the afternoon, we’ll reach our next camp set up on a wide grassy pasture.

Day 4:

NATIONAL PARK (B/L/D)
We ride through constantly changing landscapes. The morning includes some walking sections due to rocky terrain. We'll pass through a terraced village and stop near some Roman tombs for lunch. In the afternoon, galloping lovers will enjoy a 9 km sandy trail along the river. Overnight stay in a guesthouse.

Day 5:

NATIONAL PARK (B/L/D)
After a delicious homemade breakfast, we’ll leave the river behind and ride up a mule track with views of the Köprülü Canyon. After crossing a small bridge, we’ll reach a small village for lunch. We then arrive at Selge, a mythical crater believed to have formed from a meteorite impact. Overnight in a tented camp.

Day 6:

NATIONAL PARK (B/L/D)
Leaving Selge, we ride through a forest trail to reach one of the highlights of the trek: a dramatic passage carved into the mountain. Picnic lunch before tackling a demanding afternoon for both horse and rider. We’ll finish the day at a remote pasture, reachable only on foot or horseback after about an hour of rocky, uneven terrain. Dinner and overnight in a tented camp.

Day 7:

NATIONAL PARK (B/L/D)
This morning, we head back down the valley along a wide trail lined with rock formations, pine forests, and shrubs. After lunch, the afternoon becomes more dynamic with gallops through cultivated fields. Dinner and overnight in a tented camp.

Day 8: Antalya

NATIONAL PARK / ANTALYA (B/L/D)
Breakfast and back in the saddle along the riverbank, climbing up hills that offer stunning views over the ancient theater of Aspendos and the Mediterranean Sea. Picnic lunch under the trees, then a ride through the Saklikent Forest. Our last gallop will be on sandy dunes before saying goodbye to our horses. Transfer by vehicle to your guesthouse in Antalya city center, where you’ll enjoy a farewell seafood dinner. Overnight stay in a guesthouse.

Day 9:

ANTALYA / ITALY (B/-/-)
Breakfast and transfer to Antalya Airport (AYT).
