Day 1: Mazagon

Immerse yourself in the purest Spanish equestrian culture and the unique beauty of southern Spain, riding through the sandy streets of El Rocío, “the town of horses”, a regional symbol, and discovering the marshlands of the Doñana Natural Park. Its biodiversity is unique in Europe and includes a great variety of ecosystems and animal species such as thousands of birds, fallow deer, red deer, wild boar, badgers, and mongooses.
You will depart from Mazagón, where you will witness one of the most spectacular sunsets in the country and gallop along the longest beach in Spain inside the Natural Park: 28 kilometers of almost untouched sands and breathtaking viewpoints shaped by shifting dunes.
But let’s return to El Rocío: a true living western movie set. If you’ve always believed that western movies were filmed only in Arizona, you’d be surprised—movies like “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly” and “A Fistful of Dollars” were filmed here. Today it attracts many visitors thanks to its authentic Far West atmosphere.
The impact upon arrival is remarkable, surprising, almost surreal: a sleepy town whose only paved road curves around it like a ring road. The main street is entirely covered in sand, and people move around effortlessly by car, carts, and—of course—horses, which they even ride to the local bars, all equipped with high counters so riders can enjoy a drink without dismounting!
A journey to enjoy nature, culture, and gastronomy.

ITALY / SEVILLE / MAZAGÓN (-/-/D)
Arrival at Seville Airport (SVQ) is recommended in the morning; pick-up is scheduled for 12:00 pm and transfer to the town of Mazagón. Check-in at Martin Alonso Pinzón Hotel (or similar).
We will enjoy a Welcome Lunch with all riders and guides, and after lunch, we will head to the Arte Andaluz stables.
Our guides will introduce participants to the Spanish “vaquera” riding style, explaining the saddle, reins, and techniques, while also allowing a first connection with the horses to ensure the best match for each rider.
You will be welcomed with a dressage demonstration by our host and professional rider, Alejandro, who will present some of his most renowned horses, such as Caramelo, the golden Luso-Arabian, or Sueño, a magnificent black purebred Spanish horse.
After this first bonding experience, we will ride along the beach in the late afternoon to enjoy one of Spain’s most breathtaking sunsets.
Dinner in the village and overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Villamanrique De La Condesa

MAZAGÓN / VILLAMANRIQUE (B/L/D)
After breakfast, transfer to the Arte Andaluz stables. Today we return to paradise: the beach of Doñana Natural Park, the largest beach in the country, stretching 28 km—so long that it seems endless.
It is just 5 minutes from the stables, but the tour will take a little longer as our guides will show the group several special viewpoints before reaching the beach. One of the most important is the Asperillo Cliff, a system of shifting dunes stretching across twelve hectares of coastline.
After exploring the cliffs, it's time to ride along Castilla Beach, where riders can enjoy some gallops and where the watchtower known as “Torre del Loro” or “Torre del Río Oro” stands—an 18th-century structure that once protected the coast from Berber pirate attacks.
Lunch at a local fishermen’s restaurant.
After lunch, transfer with luggage to Villamanrique de la Condesa, one of the oldest towns in Huelva.
Dinner and overnight at Ardea Purpura Hotel (or similar).

Day 3: Villamanrique De La Condesa

VILLAMANRIQUE (B/L/D)
After breakfast, we will meet our horses, which will have been transported there by trailer. We will embark on a circular trek around the Quema River, a location deeply symbolic in Rocío folklore: this is where pilgrims on their way to El Rocío are baptized before continuing toward the Virgin, ensuring they arrive cleansed and unburdened.
During pilgrimage season, the river is full of horse-drawn carriages, women in flamenco dresses, and crowds of riders. On the opposite bank stands the first monument dedicated to the Virgin.
People often associate pilgrimage with silence, but the Rocío pilgrimage is a celebration from start to finish—rich in Spanish culture, horses, and music.
Lunch at Los Pinares del Alcázar Restaurant, in the middle of the forest.
After lunch, return to the stables following a different route.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: El Rocio

VILLAMANRIQUE / EL ROCÍO (B/L/D)
After breakfast, we ride toward El Rocío, “the town of horses.”
We will follow the same route used by religious brotherhoods who, on horseback, on foot, and aboard horse-drawn carriages, make their way to El Rocío—known as La Raya Real.
This is one of the most special and meaningful places in the country, particularly in the south. A paradise for horse lovers, its streets are made of sand and cars do not have priority over horses.
All houses, bars, and restaurants have designated spaces to tie and water horses. Here you can breathe flamenco culture and witness the deep connection that Spanish people have with horses—seeing riders of all ages moving around town, some working, others simply enjoying a ride.
After lunch in a local restaurant, riders will have a free afternoon to visit the church, admire the mares and their foals that roam freely in the marshes in front of the village—their breed is Marismeña, a local breed from the Doñana area.
There will also be time for shopping in the village’s equestrian stores.
Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight at El Palacete Real Hotel (or similar).

Day 5: El Rocio

EL ROCÍO (B/L/D)
After breakfast, we will meet the horses in the village and spend the morning riding alongside the Doñana Natural Park, spotting deer, cattle, hares… enjoying the views and nature, including some gallops.
Lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, it's time to dress up and ride through the village like true Andalusian horsemen, visiting different parts of the town, stopping for drinks, meeting other riders, and enjoying the famous Spanish outdoor lifestyle—but on horseback!
A typical El Rocío afternoon on horseback.
Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight at the hotel.
